Every Friday

Upcycling workshops allow attendees to search for creative ways to repurpose any item they think can no longer be used. The workshop introduces the concept of upcycling with a mix of hands-on sessions. It offers a space where participants can discuss the urgent need of hanging our daily consumption choices and understand how small transitions make a significant impact.

Most of the workshops are enriched with the artist’s creative research and activity on biophilia and biophilic design. Thus, you can expect to work a lot with natural elements and indulge in the sensory experience nature has to offer!

About Rey:

Rey is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist based in Luxembourg and London. Growing up in Turkey, she practiced art in various forms starting from a young age. Having left her hometown at the age of 18, she set on an adventure where she worked with various art collectives in different countries and embraced the power of informal learning.

Rey’s immense appreciation and gratitude towards nature did not only help develop her sense of visual aesthetics but also laid the cornerstone of her artistic pursuit today. The connection she established with nature intensified her curiosity for natural phenomena and tempted her to work closely with the physical world. She has been practicing macro photo/videography for several years. Her most recent activities involve experimenting with natural dyes and print techniques which help her study the properties of every substance she uses as well as the procedure itself. Thus, one can say that Rey’s works are rather multifaceted and experimental.

Rey has been an active member of the Hariko collective since September 2020. Since most of her physical artworks are done with upcycled materials, she decided to host workshops that can teach something that will directly be in favor of protecting nature and joining the efforts in reducing waste while educating the community on human innate love of nature.
