Every Wednesday

It’s rolls, it rattles, it sounds, it blinks. Is it a sculpture? Is it an instrument? Is it a machine, is it a trick? No, it is a marvelous marble run. Each one of us will start with building a simple track out of paper, wood, glue and a ton of fantasy. Add a curve, another one, maybe a looping, a spiral. Let’s combine our efforts and stack our tracks together – can we make it the highest, the longest or the weirdest marble run ever built? Maybe we can even add a lift with a small motor, so our machine will run forever, or add light-effects so it’s beauty will shine in the darkness. Whatever we do, we will explore the world of making, of mechanics and electronics, of sound and light by tinkering along and building useless magical marble machines. Course language is English and German. Let’s get it rolling!

Hannes Köcher lives and works in Vienna and recently also in Esch sur Alzette.

He is a media artist, programmer and painter – deeply rooted in a past of electroacoustic composition.

He develops interactive installations for exhibitions and museums, builds performance machines and creates paintings in cooperation with his robots.
