Independant Little Lies

Independent Little Lies (ILL) is an interdisciplinary theater collective bringing together theater professionals, artists, teachers and art lovers. Our productions and cultural events deal with current and social issues in four different languages.

ILL was founded in 1995 and has existed in Luxembourg for more than 25 years. We constantly strive to reinvent ourselves by forging new collaborations with artists and co-producers in and outside of Luxembourg, challenging the traditional boundaries of live performance and giving emerging artists with a variety of horizons the opportunity to develop their creativity.

At Bâtiment4 it has its own project, Biergerbühn, a participatory theater project that brings together a team of professional artists with citizens – “Bierger*innen” – of all ages, cultures and origins. In this context, workshops and artistic events are organized in the Bâtiment4 and other places in Esch.
