Every Friday

Sounds and movements workshop – polyphonic dances and songs from Africa.

Workshop proposed by Altercadance and led by Modestine Ekete.

Dancing or singing alone allows one to dive deeply into self-discovery. But when you dancing/singing  with others, the connection takes place and you can reach the top of the mountain.

Modestine Ekete’s desire to pass on her knowledge comes from the red earth from which she was born. An education rooted in the Bamiléké traditions with dances and music that express our link with mother earth. She wishes to share with the public this moment of vibrations that run through our interior, connect us and create emotional energy.

The approach of this multidisciplinary artist is based on the fusion of body and spirit, which releases creative energies, while respecting the codes of African dance and music. Her teaching is not only artistic, but also a way to reach a state of deep relaxation and to free oneself from fear, anxiety and tension.
